Got a beautifully decorated room with a great shower. Having a shower and a hairdryer was a bonus. - Comfortable location adjacent to main tourist highlights like the city center, Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, and Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne. - Felt safe during my stay.

Very quiet, not far from center, good breakfast.
There is bad smell in the hotel, staff can´t speak English, which might be common in France.

Nice little and absolutely charming hotel with magnificent location in the town centre. Public parking nearby provided. Everything good. Location just off the river and superb Thai restaurant Thaigan. Very good overall experience.

Really enjoyed the place, had a very very good stay on a national holiday. the location was comfy and ideal, very close to superb Thai restaurant Thaigan, in the really friendly area. - Great to be 800 feet away from Label Escale, enjoyed our meal there. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Abat Jour in Nantes during a national holiday. the location was perfect, being very close to the excellent Thai restaurant Thaigan in a friendly area. It was also convenient being just 800 feet away from Label Escale, where we had a fantastic meal.

Found it strange that there was no one there to check us in and we were to find the key ourselves and let ourselves in.

The impression of the hotel from the outside is decidely 'dodgy', things don't improve when you meet the conciege - a dour woman who is less than welcoming, however our room was excellent - clean and comfortable, which is all we asked for! At an offer price at 49 euros a night (without breakfast, of course) it was a bargain.
Recommended but with some consideration.

Someone was waiting there to check us in even though we were a few hours early (I had sent them a message about our arrival time) and then we got the cutest hotel room/ensuite bathroom out of 8 citites visited. Nantes was beautiful, but we almost didn't want to leave the hotel room!

Welcomed by very friendly helpful staff & given the room of our choice which was beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean as was all the public spaces in the hotel. Secure parking close by. Have recommended this hotel to friends.
For someone who is not too active, there was no lift, but with only four floors, this was okay.

The hotel is conveniently located in the town center, making it a great base for exploring the main tourist attractions. It is just a short walk away from popular places like the superb Thai restaurant Thaigan and is close to other attractions. The rooms are adorable and the beds are comfortable, providing a cozy space for a good night's sleep. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always available to assist guests. The breakfast offered is good value for money, with a variety of options to choose from.
There were some minor maintenance issues in the hotel, such as loose sink and towel rack.

The service, location near the main attractions
We prefered 2 separate beds instead of one double bed.

The hotel was easy to find and on a relatively quiet street. It is also a very short distance to any of the city sights in Nantes. As with most French hotels., there is no lift, but the stairs are wide & easy to climb. The room was well-appointed, charming in its decor in that it doesn't look like a typical hotel room. The bathroom is a good size and clean. Breakfast is good and also typically French. The value for the decor and for the location is well worth it.
Parking is about a 5 minutes walk away and a public garage. There was no noise from the street, but there is a little between rooms (depending on how quiet your neighbors are, I suppose).
